Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year of college preferred. Minimum 1 year of general hospital medical transcription and word processing experience. Possess ability to transcribe 55-70 wpm accurately, approximately 800-1000 lines/8 hours work day. Possess good knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, good communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with hospital medical staff, house staff, clinical and professional staff. Possess ability to perform repetitive detailed assignments in a production environment.
