You can do what I did. Go to all the temp agencies in town and sign up. Tell them you only want to work in medical. Summer is especially a good time as many have transcriptionists out on vacation. Also some offices only have enough transcription for PT or PRN work and use temp services. One of those temp vacation fill-in jobs turned into a permanent job for me several months later. When their MT unexpectedly moved away, the doctors called me first to offer me the job.
